Welcome (back) to SINGAPORE!
That's what I told myself (loudly),
when I passed the woodlands custom on monday!
I am THRILLED to be back!
Haven't you experienced once, that in a foreign country,
there are so many different things that you are unfamiliar with?
And not just unfamiliar, its uncomfortable knowing too.
My example will be the place I went last SAT-MON.
I shall not say the place(country),
just in case I got sued for slander! (BLAW, makes me think!)
HAHAH, for people who knows about what I'm talking about,
GOOD FOR YOU! You will understand better, I think.
For those who are ignorant of what I'm talking about, ask others! LOL.
1: Traffic
I call it the real-life DAYTONA!
FYI, it is the arcade game that one drives a virtual car to overtake others.
Yeah, it is that 'competitive', I would say.
I don't know why is everyone in a rush there,
but I do know that they run at at least a 100km/h.
A signal to the left automatically allows the driver to change lanes instanly.
And dangerous driving also seen.
A bus, with height close to a double-decker bus in SG,
runs at around 150km/h, overtaking other vehicles like an arrow.
I dare to say, Singapore's traffic system is so so so much better.
I am glad I'm in Singapore!
2: Exemption Clause
From BLAW, I learn that exemption clauses must not be too unreasonable,
and they must be clear, in their choice of words.
In that country, they have clear but unreasonable clauses, in contrast with SG's.
"The casino shall not be liable for patrons' injury or death, caused by the casino,
or other factors, including Tort (negligence)."
That is not exactly word for word, but somewhat there.
I still can't believe that even a casino, will include negligence and death in the clause.
That makes me worry about the amusement park. LOL.
Luckily, I went to the PARK before I saw that.
And I cannot be sure if the government there allows these kind of clauses.
I did not study LAW of (that country).
3: The land size!
I think I'm too used to being in SINGAPORE.
Where travelling from one end to another is rapid, and short.
While at that place, the highways are longgggg, and roads, plentiful.
The vehicle I'm in was running at 110km/h,
but yet, I felt that it was moving at 60km/h in SINGAPORE. HAHAH.
Ok, I'm done le! HAHA.
No more complaints le, I think!
I shall end it with a poem! YAY!
I thought - DEXTER!
I wanted to say many things,
I doubt I want to know,
For I never really wondered,
If I should give in.
And No, I won't,
For I am firm with my words,
And for thoughts that were mistaken,
I have to bear some responsibility.
Speaking of which,
I have never see them from you,
And again, I thought I knew you,
For I trusted you then.
I thought, you would say something,
But no, you didn't even show,
I wanted to hear from you,
But you let others tell it for you.
I thought I was OK,
But recently I'm not,
I could slap you,
For I thought you have no HEART.
The DAYS!

Time on bus.
Friday, June 11, 2010 8:56 PM
Many a times, I would ponder over life on bus rides home.
And today, I thought of many things, actually 2, but it makes up of alot of other things.
Ok, lets start this long post?HEHE.
A person's life is made up of 2 things; memories and hopes.
I will not say that a person is made up of our body and mind.
I think these things are to material, and will like to exclude them from this self-talk.
Memories, make up our experiences, emotions, and half of our life.
Imagine if you will to lose all your memories, what will you become?
And I will say that memories are more important than hopes.
I believe when one loses his/her memories, he/she loses her identity.
One will not be able to remember the past or experiences.
Without them, the person is no different from a new born baby, just with age and language knowledge(maybe).
And I was saying, I believe that our bodies are just to contain these memories.
In fact, living things will not have any bodies, but to attain memories, one must have first, a body.
So thus, maybe we are all souls trapped in this world, we are to learn, understand and expereience, our body is just to help us.
From a game, I learnt something deep too.
(And who said playing games are for slackers. HAHA.)
That, when one loses memories, and is told by others who there were and their duties,
its like telling a living zombie what to do.
That 'zombie' will have no choice but as to follow what the person says.
The 'zombie' has already died in a sense.
He/she totally lost their own judgement and memories that made them who they were.
Thus, memories are most important in what we call living as, a 'life'.
Without them, life is good as gone, I will say.
Second goes to hopes.
There are many quotes out there about hope, and why we should have them.
Lets say I will like to creat one myself;
"Life is lived only through hopes, and hopes are the directors of life." DEXTER TAN!
Yeah, I believe that hopes drive us, our way of life, our attitude towards it, and our path in this world.
I shall not say more, I'm too bored already. HAHAH.
OK, I just have a hope from my future-future.
I saw aunties on the bus just now. I was eave-dropping on their convo. LOL.
But its was surprisingly simple, they were talking about prices of grocery in the markets, so simple, yet so heart-warming.
I hope that, in the future, I will lead such simple life, children(if I have any) will be all grown up and dont need me to worry.
As for life, I hope that it will simple when I reach old age.
I know that life will get more complex as we reach middle age, but still, I hope right. HAHA.
Shall go now, bath and complete my NS registration thing.
See life's so complex, I want to be a soul.

Once again, I have to start my post with something sadd, again.
Was in BLAW tutorial just now. Was feeling kind of cranky before it.
Had DSS PBL 1 'meeting' with tutor, I think my team, is the best!
HAHAHAHAAHHAAHA. We will sure do well for PBL 2! I hope.
And then, moment of truth, BLAW tutor just had the class enlightened.
Not in those senses that enlightenment to be some budhha, god or deity thing.
Enlightenment to HELL, seriously. We have seen the truth, some grasp it well, some, like me die-ed on the spot.
Damn, I really hope that I can make it for BLAW, a PASS is sufficient!
She put us through the most torturing tutorial of all times.
We are put to task like 110%, NO ONE, I meant NOONE, left for toilet, AT ALL.
And the aftermath of some shock just drove us throughout the class.
We had to listen, we have to spend nights of hardcore mugging to read up everything.
And its just reading up, not even understanding. Case studies of 10 pages. WIN.
And now, dejavu strikes again, it strikes twice, and many more to come.
I just hope that the BLAW lecturer can be the least useful for CT. I don't think whatever she is saying is getting in.
I am blogging in the LT what, DUHH. LOL. But I am too lazy to listen to her lectures.
I don't know, but that is my cause of not understanding anything in BLAW. HIASHH.
MAJOR alarm clock woke everyone, at least, me.
Life will be hitting its largest downs soon. I do hope I will carry on, and not be left out.
HEHE.
Mack is not going to say HI soon, I'm sorry for the delay for the P2 of COMMON EYE.
But I am busy now, I think. And GOSH, MAEC is coming tooooo.
OKOK, I shall listen to GOPALAN now. CIAOS.
Thanks for reading. HEHE.
Have a nice day, and don't die.

Tuesday, June 1, 2010 3:18 PM
Marissa is very awesome! True story.
She was in our space before I am, GOOD OR what.
Then, we did video together! SO NICE!
Then we headed for lunch, she had korean teppan.
The food then thus, looked like her.
She is awesomely food-faced.
And by a close friend of her, she wanted to eat chocolate during BMGT tutorial!
HOHO. FOOD-FACE.
